Water Supply Interruption in Hyderabad: Repair works initiated by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) will lead to a 24-hour disruption in water supply across various areas of the city.

Areas Affected by Water Supply Disruption
Numerous localities in Hyderabad, including Misrigunj, Bahadurpura, Kishan Bagh, Jahanuma, Mughal Pura, and Darulshifa, are expected to experience water supply disruptions. The repair work at Chandrayanagutta, aimed at addressing a significant leakage issue, is the cause of this interruption. The water supply disruption is scheduled to occur from 6 am on January 20 to 6 am on January 21.
Second Disruption in January : Water Supply Interruption in Hyderabad
This incident marks the second water supply disruption in January. In a press release, HMWSSB mentioned that residents in several parts of Hyderabad experienced a 24-hour water supply disruption starting from 6 am on January 24.
During the previous disruption, areas such as Mir Alam, Kishan Bagh, Santosh Nagar, Vinay Nagar, Saidabad, Chanchalguda, Yakuthpura, Madannapet, Riyasat Nagar, Aliabad, Boggula Kunta, Afzalgunj in the Old City, and Narayanguda, Adikmet, Shivam Road, Nallakunta, Chilukalguda, and Dilsukhnagar were affected. The board attributed the disruption to junction works on the pipeline at Santosh Nagar as part of the Krishna Drinking Water Supply Phase-1 project.
