It is expected that this vehicle will be launched in India under the name Ford Endeavour, a model that once directly competed with the Toyota Fortuner and continues to have a strong presence in the second-hand market.

According to media reports, Ford is considering both assembling the new Endeavour at its Chennai factory and importing it directly. It is anticipated that Ford will import existing Endeavour units for the Indian market in the short term, with assembly line production scheduled to commence by 2025.
While the fully imported Ford Endeavour is expected to be priced higher than the available Fortuner in the Indian market, prices are expected to decrease once local production begins.
Currently, Ford had two plants in the Indian market, one in Sanand, which was sold to Tata Motors in 2022, and the other in Chennai, which was kept idle despite proposals from OEMs like VinFast.
